About

A belief that some things shouldn't be forgotten.

Collected records are preserved when details need further checking. Review notes distinguish unresolved details from evidence-backed corrections; an incomplete check is not proof that a record is false. Counts reflect the records included here, not a complete global death toll. Some event counts are estimates or cumulative totals; their descriptions explain the scope.

Promise summaries are paraphrases unless explicitly marked as quotations. Announcements establish commitments, not fulfillment. A missed deadline alone does not establish a broken promise when the outcome is unknown.
